The body is sceptical about the realization of the project in case the Conservative party is voted to power in the general elections next year.
According to the BSG, private players will shy away from investing in broadband rollout plans, since the elections can throw up unexpected results. While the Labour party has a clear agenda of providing a minimum 2Mb broadband connection to everyone, the Conservatives believe a broadband connection to all should not be a top priority.
