Get a Fantastic Pink Christmas Tree

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Nothing says ‘girly’ like a pink Christmas tree. This is probably why my daughter is so interested in getting one for her room. Pink is a really hot color for teens right now and I am glad to see the spark of interest in the favorite hue for girls. My daughter’s interest in the pink Christmas tree has me planning a surprise for her.

I am very eager to get her this girly object mostly because she never liked the color when she was younger. She announced that she hated pink after I bought her a few outfits in that shade. She wanted to start picking out her own clothes and she chose bright oranges and greens. It came as a shock to me that years later she would be swooning over a pink Christmas tree.

I guess that I never really got over her insistence on getting the bright oranges and greens for her clothes and her room décor. Pink is a color that is associated with youth, innocents and, of course little girls. I guess that I wasn’t ready for my little one to become so independent.

She really surprised me when she started showing interest in pinks here and there. It is almost like she is maturing in reverse. I remember turning against pink when I was a teenager. I wanted to wear black or black after the age of 13. It’s ironic that my own daughter is embracing the color at that very same age.

I am anxious to surprise her with a pink Christmas tree of her own this year. I think that she is really going to love it. There are a few choices that I have to make before making a purchase. The first choice is the size.

The pink Christmas tree is going to be completely my daughter’s. It will be displayed in her room. The problem is the size. I really love the idea of a huge, pink Christmas tree in her bedroom but it may be just too overwhelming. Maybe a table top holiday tree would suit the space better.

I also have to be careful not to decorate it before she has a chance. I know that she is interested in a pink Christmas tree but I’m not sure if she really would appreciate if I decorated it for her. Maybe she could choose her own ornaments and lights for the tree herself. Who knows? It may wind up being pink and black when she’s done with it.

An Incredible Prelit Artificial Christmas Tree

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

After struggling with wires and outlets for a couple of hours I decided that it was time for me to invest in a prelit artificial Christmas tree. I had enough of the old system of wrestling around a tree with a bunch of lights that may or may not work. I had enough of stringing and unstringing the stubborn wires of bulbs around the unyielding evergreen.

This year, I am investing in a prelit artificial Christmas tree to save my sanity. My old evergreen decoration was about finished anyway. I bought the thing way back when I moved into my first apartment. Now that I have a new home I should have a new set of decorations to adorn it as well starting with a pre-lit artificial Christmas tree.

I love the concept of everything coming together in one easily installed unit. The stress is on the phrase easily installed. For years, I have wrestled with the same evergreen and I am getting too old for the fight. It is really scary when an artificial tree can get the better of you. The lights were getting a little intimidating as well.

A prelit artificial Christmas tree is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to avoid a fight with an evergreen at any cost. Fortunately, these pre-lit trees are not very expensive. I was thrilled to find that I could get one for about the same price as a light-free version. Why spend the time putting the lights on and off when you can have the whole thing ready-made?

I found that I could install this item in a fraction of the time that it took me to put up the old evergreen. I can’t say how much difference in time because I tended to lose track of time when dealing with the traditional model. The prelit artificial Christmas tree is far easier to work with and it is way less time consuming.

I used to dedicate an entire afternoon and part of the evening into setting up my holiday tree display. The pre-lit artificial Christmas tree takes less than an hour from start to finish and I don’t have to fuss with a lot of wires in the process.

The wires are really aggravating especially after you just spent so much time putting up the tree in the first place. The prelit artificial Christmas tree doesn’t require extra work once you have it put up. The only thing you need to worry about are the ornaments.

Our Corporate Christmas Gift Idea

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Picking out just the right corporate Christmas gift idea can be a pretty difficult task. After all, what you get for your employees says a lot about what kind of boss you are. When I was coming up in the world of business, people tended to get very formal office Christmas gifts. The boss would buy senior members expensive wine, junior executives slightly less expensive wine, and everyone else Christmas ornaments, or other presents that reflected their low status in the company hierarchy.

Nowadays, that approach is not nearly that popular. In the modern workplace, after all, we are supposed to pretend that we are all equals – members of the same team, as it were. Although no one exactly believes this, it makes relationships between management and the workers easier and less strained. As such, the best approach is to have a corporate Christmas gift idea that is appropriate for everyone. You can privately get something nice for some of your senior partners, but it should be done in as inconspicuous a manner as possible. Publicly showing favoritism only invites trouble, particularly when you can already indicate which employees you favor through Christmas bonuses.

One of my personal favorite corporate Christmas gift ideas is to send everyone home with a bottle of Bristol Cream sherry. It is one of the most delightful wines you can have in the winter, and it is relatively inexpensive. If your office is facing hard times, however, you might want to consider going cheapter. If you can have your company print out personalized custom Christmas gifts, you can get away with a very cheap holiday present. Last year, for example, we gave everyone a candy basket. There were peanut butter cups, mints, and little chocolate Santas inside. The Christmas wrapping paper was printed with the company logo, and every single one had a personalized greeting card attached. It cost less than three dollars per basket, and it still seemed to make most of our employees feel appreciated.

Of course, you can always go with one of the old standbys. An ornament is probably the most classic corporate Christmas gift idea there is. It is pretty, inexpensive, and useful year after year. You can get a pewter Christmas tree ornament, a glass bauble, a miniature nutcracker, or whatever else might strike your fancy. Any of these will make a fine corporate Christmas gift idea without breaking the company bank!
